Annapolis is one of the oldest cities in the
United States. Located on the shores of the Chesapeake Bay,
Annapolis is known for it's seafood, hundreds of miles of
waterfront, historic buildings, sailing, being the state
capital and the home of the US Naval Academy. It is only 30
miles to Baltimore or Washington, D.C.
There are the Baltimore Orioles, the Ravens,
Redskins, Capitals and Wizards. You should be able to spot
at least 350 years of history to walk through and visit. (George
Washington is said to have slept here and presided over early
affairs of state.)
Baltimore-Washington International Airport is about 15 miles
away. Ocean resort and vacation towns like Ocean City, Bethany
Beach and Rehoboth Beach are about 100 miles away.
Did we mention the steamed crabs, oysters, clams
and rockfish? The Eastern Shore tomatoes and corn? The 400+
miles of waterfront in Anne Arundel County alone? What about
the Chesapeake Bay and its bridges?
What are you waiting for? Annapolis is waiting
for you... in fact, we've got three centuries of stories to
let you in on! |
